Publishing Bonuses within the CzechElib Consortium
Regarding publishing matters, we would like to inform you about the bonus offers provided by selected publishing houses to authors from academic and scientific institutions within the CzechElib (National Centre for Electronic Information Resources) project.
These bonuses were negotiated as part of resource subscriptions or transformative agreements between CzechElib and selected publishers for the 2026–2027(8) period. Transformative agreements shift a portion of the subscription fees (Read Fee) to publishing fees (Article Processing Charges – APC), thereby enabling institutional authors to publish with the publisher under a selected Open Access (OA) model. Thanks to UJEP’s membership in the CzechElib project, our corresponding authors also have the opportunity to obtain a discount or a full waiver of the publication fees for their work.

Springer Nature: Free publication of a limited number of articles (standardly 7 APC tokens) in OA mode, exclusively in hybrid titles (publisher’s sites); more information here.

Taylor & Francis: Free publication of a limited number of articles (standardly 3 APC tokens) in OA mode, exclusively in hybrid so-called Open Select titles; more information here.

Wiley: Free publication of a limited number of articles (standardly 8 APC tokens) in OA mode, exclusively in hybrid titles; more information here.

Elsevier ScienceDirect: Free publication of a limited number of articles (the exact number of APC tokens to be specified) in OA mode, exclusively in hybrid (Core Hybrid) titles; more information here.

Sage HSS: Free unlimited publication of articles in OA mode, exclusively in hybrid subscribed titles. In the case of publishing in a fully OA title, a 20% APC discount applies; more information here.

The above applies only to corresponding authors from UJEP. To utilize the bonuses, it is absolutely necessary to state your UJEP affiliation and use an email address with the @ujep.cz domain when communicating with publishers.

For publishers with a limited number of tokens, we recommend verifying the possibility of OA publishing with the library beforehand. The approval of APC tokens will operate on a “first come, first served” basis.

We kindly ask you to request the use of tokens only if APC funding is not already secured from other sources (e.g., project grants).
