Remote Access to Electronic Information Resources/Databases

All UJEP electronic information resources are only available within the university computer network without the need to log in.

When using resources outside the university network, it is necessary to log in to the resource.

Options for remote access and user identification in databases:

  1. For user login in databases, or to access the full text of articles, a remote institutional connection via the so-called Shibboleth (eduID service) is used as standard. The login name and password are the same as the login data for STAG (students)/Novell (employees). This simple approach is recommended for the Ebsco Discovery multi-finder.
  1. For user login, it is also possible to use settings and connection via the so-called UJEP proxy server (CI instructions on how to set up a proxy). This type of connection is advantageous if you intend to work with multiple sources/platforms.
  1. Most EIZs are also remotely accessible via eduVPN. Instructions for installation and use via the application can be found on the ci.ujep website.
