Journal Citation Reports

Journal Citation Reports (JCR) is a unique citation polytopic database that is part of Web of Science. It focuses on providing citation analysis results for journals.

It is possible to find which journals are monitored; to search for journals by subject, country, and publisher; to find basic data (number of articles, number of citations) and quantitative characteristics assessing quality (impact factor, immediate response index, citation half-life, etc.), all in time series over the last 10 years.

Another well-known and extensive citation index is Scopus, which tracks citations in more than
22 000 journal titles.
